Campaign Story

My Name is Ladine and my husband is Dave. I am ICU nurse, which I wouldn’t trade for the world. I never would have thought I would have fertility issues. I never had any female problems, and all the women in my family never had any issues having children: so I never thought I would. I am the oldest of 5, and my mother was a teen mom having me when she was 15.My mom passed when I was 18 which led to me helping raise my 4 younger siblings, the youngest being 3. I always wanted a big family, but wanted to wait until I was financially and emotionally ready. I never worried about being older trying to start a family but never knew what problems would arise. At 36 years old I was diagnosed with ovarian failure and plunge into full  menopause. As a newly weds, our first two years of marriage as been a emotional roller coaster.. Finding out that my egg reserve was non existent, skipping straight into menopause and dealing with all the changes, multiple family deaths and then getting the price tag of IVF. Through all of it we have tired stayed positive and hopeful. My husband has been an amazing supportive partner, but this has been a trying time for both of us.Our first round of IVF was unsuccessful and now we face the challenge of saving for another round of IVF. I have always wanted to be a mom, and I couldn’t image life with out kids in it. At first I felt ashamed to ask for financial help paying for IVF but now my desire to have a baby is greater than shame for ask for help. Any donation helps gets us one step closer, and truly will be a gift from god to bring a baby into the world and our loving family.
